Licensing Terms
What you can — and cannot — do with digital files purchased on ExDFS.
Last updated: July 10, 2026
The Basics
When you buy a product on ExDFS you purchase a license to use the file(s), not the copyright itself. The seller retains ownership of their work. Unless the product page states otherwise, purchases include the Standard License described below.
Standard License
✅ You may
- Use the files for personal projects;
- Use them in your own work and end products (documents, presentations, personal study);
- Modify or adapt the files for your own use;
- Keep backup copies for yourself and re-download from your account.
❌ You may not
- Redistribute, resell, or sublicense the files — modified or not;
- Share files publicly, upload them to other marketplaces, file-sharing sites, or free-download sites;
- Claim authorship of the original work;
- Use one purchase across an entire organization (one license = one user).
Extended / Commercial Use
Some products offer an extended or commercial license — for example, using a template in client work or a graphic in a product you sell. Where available, this is stated on the product page. If a product does not specify commercial rights and you need them, contact the seller through their store page before purchasing.
Per-Product License Overrides
Sellers may attach their own license terms to a product (shown in the product description or included as a license file in the download). Where a seller’s license differs from these terms, the seller’s product-specific license prevails for that product.
Educational & Resale-Rights Products
Certain categories (e.g., some business kits) may be sold explicitly with resale or distribution rights. Such rights apply only when clearly stated on the product page — never assume them by default.
Enforcement
Violating these terms — especially redistribution or piracy — results in license termination, account suspension, and possible legal action by the seller or ExDFS. Copyright issues are handled under our DMCA & Copyright Policy.
