How ExDFS Creator Codes and Referral Links Work: 30-Day Attribution Explained

Learn how ExDFS Creator codes, 30-day referral links, final-order attribution, discount stacking and prohibited self-referral work.

A Creator program needs a clear answer to one question: who receives credit for the order? ExDFS uses the Creator code on the final order as the authoritative attribution record, while referral links provide a convenient 30-day way to remember a valid code.

This article explains the relationship between codes, referral links, cookies, manual entry and prohibited attribution practices.

The short version

  • Every approved Creator receives a unique, permanent Creator code.
  • The code gives the buyer 20% off eligible paid products.
  • The valid Creator code applied to the final order determines attribution.
  • A referral link can remember a valid code for 30 days.
  • An order completed without a Creator code cannot be attributed later.

Creator codes do not expire

The Creator code itself has no expiration date while the Creator remains in good standing and the program is active. A Creator can share the same code in a video description, newsletter, social profile or direct recommendation.

The code is also the final source of truth. If a buyer changes or replaces a code before placing the order, the code present on the final order receives attribution.

How the 30-day referral link works

A Creator can share the ExDFS homepage or a product page with a referral parameter. When the code is valid, the visitorโ€™s browser remembers it for 30 days and the URL is cleaned for a better browsing experience.

The referral memory is a convenienceโ€”not an override of buyer choice. If a buyer deliberately applies another valid code at checkout, the code on the final order is authoritative.

Why orders cannot be attributed retroactively

Retroactive assignment creates conflicting claims and makes payout records unreliable. ExDFS therefore uses data present on the order at checkout. Creators should make their code easy to copy, repeat it in content and encourage buyers to verify the discount before completing payment.

One Creator discount, not stacked discounts

Creator codes are treated as individual-use discounts. They do not stack with another Creator code or an incompatible promotion. This protects the published 20% buyer discount and keeps the Revenue Share calculation consistent.

Where Creators can share a code

  • Original videos, posts, articles and newsletters.
  • A Creatorโ€™s own website, resource page or profile.
  • Relevant direct responses to an audience member who asks for the recommendation.
  • Product-specific links when the Creator is discussing that product.

What is prohibited

  • Self-referral: using your own Creator code to buy for yourself.
  • Fabricated orders: creating orders that do not represent genuine buyer demand.
  • Tier manipulation: splitting, recycling or coordinating orders only to reach a milestone.
  • Public coupon sites: publishing the code on coupon/deal directories instead of using it in genuine Creator content.
  • Misleading attribution: claiming a relationship, discount or product result that is not accurate.

Proven fraud, self-referral or fabricated orders may lead to a documented adjustment, code suspension or removal from the program.

Practical sharing checklist

  1. Show the code clearly on screen or in the post.
  2. Include a clickable referral link near the code.
  3. Tell buyers that the 20% discount should appear before they complete checkout.
  4. Explain that ExDFS checkout is currently crypto-only.
  5. Use honest disclosure language appropriate to the platform and local rules.
  6. Do not post the code to public coupon aggregators.

What Creators can see

The Creator dashboard shows the permanent code, referral link, clicks, qualifying sales, Revenue Share entries, tier progress and payout history. Revenue Share is recorded as pending at processing and becomes withdrawable after completion.

Attribution and customer refunds

An approved refund caused by a product or website problem does not automatically remove the Creatorโ€™s earnings. Attribution abuse is handled separately from legitimate product or site issues.
